Materials We Machine
At Precision Enterprises, we specialize in machining aluminum castings from our foundry. But our machining division also processes
billet, bar stock, plate stock, and plastics into precision parts for a wide range of industries.
Here are a few types of materials we commonly machine:
Aluminum alloys
(cast and billet)
Stainless steel
Titanium & specialty alloys
(upon request)
Plastics and engineered polymers
Our Machines & equipment
Our facility houses more than 25 CNC machining centers, including advanced multi-axis systems to accommodate parts of nearly any size or complexity.
Horizontal 4-Axis Machining Centers
Ideal for large, complex castings that need machining on multiple faces, our horizontal 4-axis machines excel at handling deep cavities, heavy material removal, and large work envelopes with efficient tool access. These machines reduce clamping, allow greater rigidity when cutting, and help achieve faster cycle times on parts with features on more than one axis.
Vertical 3-Axis Machining Centers
Our vertical 3-axis machines are great for general milling operations—slotting, pocketing, drilling, and simple contour work. They’re reliable and versatile, well suited for finishing surfaces, producing flat faces, and parts that don’t require full multi-axis contouring. They’re also often more cost-effective for simpler parts or for roughing before finishing on more complex machines.
Vertical 5-Axis Machining Centers
The vertical 5-axis machining centers allow for very complex geometries, curved surfaces, and features almost impossible with fewer axes. Because of their ability to move the tool or part in 5 directions, they use shorter tooling, which improves stability, reduces error, and provides superior surface finishes. These machines are especially useful for high-precision parts, intricate molds or dies, and components where tool access is otherwise restrictive.
ST-35 Lathe
Our ST-35 lathe is used for turning operations, shaping cylindrical features, doing facing, turning diameters, and producing parts that are round. The ST-35 is great when you need precision on round or cylindrical components, such as shafts, flanges, or any part where symmetry around an axis is critical.
