Finishing & Assembly

Take advantage of our certified suppliers developed over years of experience. We take full responsibility for every part that is sourced on the outside. All parts requiring secondary finishes are brought back into our inspection department to insure that your part arrives on time and to print. We have developed proprietary powders that will allow machining after powder coating designed to save money by eliminating all masking procedures.

More about the Secondary Options we Offer

Iridite

Iridite is also known as chromate conversion coating primarily used on aluminum and its alloys to enhance corrosion resistance and improve adhesion for paints or adhesives. It also is a great de-greaser. It is usually gold in color which ensures that the coating has been applied. And unlike anodizing, this coating is conductive.

E-coat

E-coat, short for electrocoating, is a high-tech, environmentally friendly process used to apply a uniform, corrosion-resistant paint layer to metal parts. Our castings are submerged in a bath containing a water-based paint emulsion. An electric current is applied, causing paint particles to migrate and bond to the surface of our castings.

Minor Assemblies

We assemble parts into our machined and painted castings. We put in hardware and even printed circuit boards, and many other parts as needed. We supply our customers with assemblies that can go right to the host product.

Kitting

Kitting is taking multiple parts and placing them together. For example, we cast a differential cover for an aftermarket auto company. We cast the part, powder coat it, place it into a box, add the necessary hardware, along with printed out installation instructions and their company decals. This allows us to drop ship finished parts to their retail stores across the country.

Packaging

We provide packaging according to the customers’ needs. Some castings are just placed into a gaylord with minimal dividers. If the casting is painted or powder coated and needs protection, then individual boxes or foam is needed. Over the last decade, we have gone green. On long production runs, we design re-useable containers. We have customers that we ship products to every week. They unpack and send the containers back to us to be used again. This saves so much cardboard for us all every year.
